Gelco Chimney Liner & Rebuild Nationwide

Every visit starts with

Level 1 sweep and inspection to the NFPA 211 annual standard - flue, crown, cap, and flashing checked and photographed

Worth knowing

Chimney sweep logs do not sweep chimneys. They loosen some creosote - which then falls where a brush and vacuum still have to collect it.

Gelco Chimney Liner & Rebuild in Haverhill: What to Know First

We provide independent Gelco chimney liner and rebuild service in Haverhill, with most Gelco liner replacements and partial rebuilds completed in one to two days once the written price is approved. Every job starts with an NFPA 211 Level 2 camera inspection and ends with a documented photo record, a written warranty, and our 365-Day Done Right Promise. We are not affiliated with or authorized by Gelco; we are an independent service provider who sources Gelco-compatible parts through our Haven buying network and installs them to manufacturer spec.

This page is for Haverhill homeowners who already have a Gelco liner or Gelco-compatible system and have been told it needs repair, replacement, or a full rebuild. Maybe you’ve got a written estimate you’re not sure about. Maybe you smelled smoke in the living room last burn season. Either way, call (351) 444-9705 for a free estimate or a free second opinion on any competitor’s written quote.

How Gelco Products Fail - and How We Fix Them

  • Gelco UltraPro flexible liner: seam separation at the collar joint. We see this most in Haverhill’s older colonials near Washington Square where the flue run is long and the freeze-thaw cycles work the metal hard. The UltraPro’s collar joint can open at the seam where the flex meets the rigid connector, especially if the original installer skipped the expansion gap. We cut back to sound metal, install a Gelco-compatible or DuraFlex transition piece with proper thermal expansion allowance, and pressure-test before we leave.
  • Gelco stainless rigid liner: weld corrosion at the cleanout tee. The rigid line’s tee junction collects condensation in shoulder seasons, and Haverhill’s wet shoulder months - March through May, October into November - accelerate pitting at the weld bead. We replace the tee with an OEM or Olympia Chimney equivalent, verify the flue gas temperature stays above dew point with a probe reading, and document the number in your file. The camera doesn’t guess. Neither do I.
  • Gelco smooth-wall liner: mortar wash failure in the smoke chamber. The smooth-wall’s low-friction surface is only as good as the refractory backing behind it. When the parging crumbles, the liner loses lateral support and can oval or crack under thermal stress. We re-parge with HeatShield Cerfractory Foam or remove and rebuild the smoke chamber if the loss exceeds 50 percent, then reline with Gelco-compatible or DuraFlex flex depending on flue geometry.
  • Gelco liner with missing or incorrect cap: water intrusion and spalling at the flue top. Gelco’s own cap line fits tight, but we’ve found plenty of Haverhill installs where a generic cap was substituted and the drip edge misses the flue tile by half an inch. Water runs down, freezes, and the liner crown spalls from the top down. We install a proper Gelco, Famco, or Copperfield cap with correct overhang, seal with CrownSeal or rebuild the crown if the spall depth exceeds three-quarters of an inch.
  • Gelco liner in a partial rebuild scenario: the liner outlasts the brick, but not by much. In Haverhill’s 1880s-to-1920s housing stock, we’ve pulled Gelco liners that were still structurally sound from a chimney where the exterior wythe had loosened so badly the whole stack was moving. We shore, rebuild the affected courses with matching brick if possible, and reinstall the existing liner if it passes ultrasound - or replace with new Gelco or HeatShield if it doesn’t. You get photos of the wythe separation, the ultrasound reading, and the written scope before we touch a trowel.

Our Gelco Chimney Liner & Rebuild Process
  1. 1
Schedule and arrival. You call (351) 444-9705, a live person answers, and we book a Level 2 inspection. Corrine or one of our background-checked, uniformed techs texts when we’re en route.
  2. 2
NFPA 211 Level 2 camera inspection. We run the camera the full flue length, record the footage, and note liner condition, creosote class, and any breach or deformation. You watch the screen if you want.
  3. 3
Written price and scope. Before any work starts, we deliver a written price, written scope, and written warranty - Haven Standard Clause 1, H.A.V.E.N. “Have it in writing.” No exceptions. If you have a competitor’s written estimate, we’ll give you a free second opinion.
  4. 4
Parts decision: OEM Gelco, DuraFlex, HeatShield, or Olympia Chimney. We source through our Haven buying network. If your warranty is still active and requires OEM, we use Gelco. If the warranty has lapsed or the spec allows, we may recommend DuraFlex or HeatShield for better availability or price - and we tell you exactly why.
  5. 5
Repair, replacement, or rebuild. We execute the scope, pressure-test or smoke-test as appropriate, and run the camera again to verify.
  6. 6
Documentation and guarantee. You receive the photo record (Haven Standard Clause 4), the final invoice matching the written price, and the 365-Day Done Right Promise. If it’s not done right, we make it right.

Why Haverhill Homeowners Call Level Two Chimney Haverhill for Gelco Work

We’ve inspected and cleaned more than 38,000 chimneys since 2009, and a healthy share of those have been Gelco systems in Merrimack Valley homes like yours. Corrine Halstead and our techs know the difference between an UltraPro collar joint failure and a smooth-wall smoke chamber collapse because we’ve fixed both, documented both, and filed the photos under Haven Standard Clause 4.

We’re not a one-brand shop. When Gelco lead times stretch or a spec calls for something else, we pivot to DuraFlex, HeatShield, or Olympia Chimney from our Haven buying network - and we explain the trade-off in plain terms, with the written price in front of you before you decide. Background-checked, uniformed technicians. Live phone support 24/7. The 365-Day Done Right Promise stamped on every job. That’s the standard we work to.
